内容紹介

●シリーズ第2期は日露戦争終戦後から第一次大戦期の15年間の風刺漫画を収録。
●世界34か国で刊行された約340紙誌から、The Review of Reviews『評論の評論』誌に転載された6000点以上の風刺漫画を大集成。
●第一次大戦へ突入する西洋各国の政治、軍事、外交だけでなく、女性参政権、独立運動、人種問題やオリエンタリズムなど社会・文化諸問題に関する風刺漫画も満載。
●また、満州をめぐる日露戦争に続き一次大戦でも戦勝国となる日本と中国や列強との軋轢、中東や世界各地での紛争の火種を扱った漫画など、日本の『東京パック』、上海で刊行された『中華公論西報』、インドの『ヒンディ・パンチ』、エジプトの『カイロ・パンチ』、南アフリカの『ケイプ・タイムズ』といった非西洋圏のメディアに掲載された漫画も多数掲載。
●今後、戦間期、第2次世界大戦前期と継続刊行し、シリーズ全体で世界数百紙誌から3万点を超える風刺漫画を収録する予定。
